Stokey Studios is a collective of multi skilled local community artists with strong and long-standing connections to Stoke Newington of over 30 years. We are dedicated to using our skills, imagination, ideas and drive to enrich our community using the arts.
We come together as a team to offer the community many and varied creative opportunities like large public events, smaller community workshops, educational projects, exhibitions and skills-based practical workshops.
We do this by partnering with other local cultural providers, libraries, community groups, schools and local businesses.
We bring many years of experience, knowledge, and expertise not only in applying our own art practices but also in skilled facilitation, local knowledge and community links. All this comes together in the exciting, inclusive and innovative work we do in Stoke Newington.
Unfortunately this November Stoke Newington Library is closing for extensive refurbishment. So after 20 years, the 8 artists with studios above the library are having to move out. With an uncertain future ahead we are marking this moment with a celebration of our artistic community by showcasing some of our work.
