The opening night of our last show before the renovations to the Library was a great success. Councillor Anya Sizer addressed everyone at the preview giving a positive endorsement of everything Stokey Studios stands for : community, inclusion and independent artistic creativity. An estimated 200 people attended the preview and many more came to workshop and demonstrations held over the following days in the Library Gallery. We thank everyone who came to the show and to everyone who offered support in these uncertain times. We hope to be ale to show in this space again in the future but this of course depends on whether we manage to find a shared studio space together in Stoke Newington and are not forced to leave the area due to unaffordable rents… We’ll keep you posted.
